What do you get when you mix basketball, hockey, ice skating, pizza,
and Mass on a snowy weekend in January? Alumni Sports Weekend.
Notre Dame alumni and their guests enjoyed a winter getaway on campus Jan. 4 and 5.
Participants had ample opportunities to enjoy the campus. Whether it
was cheering on the men’s basketball team as they took on Duke, enjoying
pizza while the men’ hockey team faced off against Boston College,
touring the stadium locker room, attending Mass, or gliding across the
ice during open skating, there was something for everyone.
As in previous years, registration for the annual event—this was its sixth year—filled up fast.
The Alumni Association would like to thank everyone who came back to
campus for Alumni Sports Weekend. We hope you enjoyed your visit, and we
look forward to seeing you next January. Meanwhile, we hope you'll

Once again, the weekend drew several hundred fans to campus.
Men's hoops upset Duke in a thrilling game, and the women's team beat Clemson.
Giant Jenga anyone? Kids enjoyed games Saturday night, as well as a pizza party.
Youngsters also wrote good-luck messages to the ND hockey team.
Once again, families enjoyed skating in the Compton Family Ice Arena.
And Sunday morning brunch in the ND stadium press box proved popular.
After brunch, fans were treated to tours of Notre Dame Stadium.
The weekend also included time to check out a scenic, snow-covered campus.
