U.S. Green Building Council
Caron is an architect specializing in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. As part of the Leadership Board of the Notre Dame Club of Washington, D.C., she served as editor of the club newsletter and was active with ND Women Connect. Caron served as a volunteer kitchen worker at a crisis center for the homeless in Washington, D.C., and currently serves as a volunteer young adult ministry coordinator at St. Paul Inside the Walls, a Catholic evangelization center in Madison, NJ.

Jim Gradoville ’76
International Potato Center
Jim is a long-time resident of Asia, working in China for the past 16 years. Jim was the vice president for government relations in Asia for Motorola and president of United Technologies’ international operations in China. More recently, Jim served as the CEO of the World Wildlife Fund in China. He is currently the deputy director of the International Potato Center in Beijing. Jim is one of the three original founders of the Notre Dame Club of Beijing, a member of the Asia Studies Advisory Board and a member of the Greater China Scholarship Selection Committee. Additionally Jim organized a very successful University event during the 2008 Beijing Olympics to celebrate Notre Dame student-athletes participating in the games. The event was attended by senior University officials, including Provost Thomas G. Burish ’72 and Executive Vice President John Affleck-Graves, as well as government officials, University guests, students and alumni.

Raul Gutierrez ’00
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
After graduating from Notre Dame, Raul went on to receive his M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Texas at El Paso and his Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Arizona State University. He then moved into his current position as a wetland scientist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at the Region 6 Office in Dallas, Texas. He is also a Research Associate at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas in Fort Worth. He has served on the Hispanic Alumni Board since 2010 as a Regional Representative and Vice-Chair.
