The revamped myNotreDame, which was unveiled last month, brought with it a variety of new and enhanced online learning series offered by the Notre Dame Alumni Association. These programs provide alumni and friends with convenient and interesting ways to engage intellectually with Notre Dame experts on a variety of topics.
Looking to keep up on University issues? Want to learn more about a major news event from a Notre Dame faculty member? In need of career guidance from a trusted advisor? You’ll find all this and more through the Alumni Association’s five distinct categories of online learning:
On Point at Notre Dame
Gain a deeper understanding of important University topics with On Point at Notre Dame, an online forum that brings you the perspective and expertise of Notre Dame leaders. And get answers to your questions, which you can share ahead of each show. The first installment, "Our Beloved Community: Enhancing ND's Distinctive Residential Mission," is scheduled for June 19 from noon to 1 p.m.
Catching Up With
Hear directly from interesting and inspiring Notre Dame alumni and find out what they’re up to now. Learn more about grads whose names you know, and meet some fascinating alumni you’re unfamiliar with. Sen. Joe Donnelly '77, '81 J.D., the only Notre Dame graduate serving in the U.S. Senate, was the first guest.
Engage intellectually and continue the Notre Dame tradition of lifelong learning in an intimate, faculty-led conversation that offers a deeper level of engagement. ND Conversations is designed to help the Notre Dame community around the world gather together online and discuss thought-provoking topics. The next event, scheduled for July 9 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., will focus on three core areas of college athletics often scrutinized in today's media: academic integrity, legal issues, and ethical concerns.
Clear-Sighted Career (Alumni Only)
Presented by the Notre Alumni Association Career and Professional Services staff, Clear-Sighted Career offers skills and best practices for job-seekers. Each webinar in this series will cover a specific topic that will aid you in your quest for career advancement and professional development. The next edition, "Selling Yourself: Elevator Pitch Step by Step," is scheduled for June 26 from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Behind the Headlines
Gain a deeper understanding of leading news stories with Behind the Headlines. This series offers a fresh take on current events. The in-depth discussions are led by faculty members who draw on their areas of expertise and their cutting-edge research to deliver new insights in a fast-changing world. On June 12 from noon to 1 p.m., tune in for our first episode, "Inequality in the Workplace."
