Explore New Haunts
By Jennifer Warfel Juszkiewicz ’09 M.A., NDAA Staff Writer

Channel your adventurous spirits and plan your next trip with Notre Dame Alumni Travel. Whether by ship or on one of our more active excursions, you can explore the haunts of Europe, the Everglades, or the enlivening Breckinridge slopes in Colorado.

Join ND Professor Robert Schmuhl ’70 for a journey through the Celtic Lands of France, Ireland, Wales, England, and Scotland. The intimate, luxurious Ms. Le Diamant will cling to the coastlines of these ancient countries, stopping in both the familiar and the more “out-of-the-way” ports of call. Visit the Norman port of Honfleur and Scotland’s historical capital of Edinburgh. Explore the Cornish Isles of Scilly, lands of Arthurian legend. This trip runs from May 25–June 3, 2010.

Wander deeper into Europe on the Holland and Belgium Waterways and Canals cruise. Rev. Christopher Kuhn, C.S.C., ’71 will be the host for this April 13-21, 2010 journey with stops at the Hague, Keukenhof Gardens, and the innovative Delta Project—Holland’s fight against the sea’s eroding power.
For the more adventurous traveler, meander among the hanging mosses and lush foliage of the Everglades from Jan. 31–Feb. 6, 2010. You will be guided through the River of Grass, the Everglades National Park, Rookery Bay, and other ecological and picturesque landmarks. Take a moment to reconnect with the splendor of the natural world, watching the birds and reptiles that call Florida’s wetlands home.
From Feb. 6-13, 2010, hit the slopes of Breckenridge, Colo., with fellow ND alumni. After some invigorating hiking, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing, put your feet up by the fire in your personal condo. Spend a night at one of the fine dining establishments, having a candlelight dinner, or have a rousing evening singing the Fight Song with fellow Domers in a local pub. Secure your condo reservations by Nov. 30 for this snowy celebration of the American West.
