Monk’s Tale

This month, the University of Notre Dame Press is publishing the first installment of a three-volume memoir by President Emeritus Rev. Edward “Monk” Malloy, C.S.C. Monk's Tale: The Pilgrimage Begins, 1941-1975, covers Father Malloy’s childhood in Washington, D.C., up to when he received his doctorate in Christian ethics from Vanderbilt University.

Chapter 4, “Love Thee Notre Dame,” covers Father Malloy’s four years as an undergraduate at Notre Dame.

Monk's Tale: The Pilgrimage Begins, 1941-1975 will be available at the Notre Dame Hammes Bookstore beginning in September. Father Malloy will be signing copies during home football games this season. Additionally, the book may be purchased at your local bookstore or ordered online through the UND Press website.
